Back to work · a new business venture
Yesterday was pre-occupied with housekeeping. I got reacquainted with the project, I filed my tax return, I set up a meeting with my accountant to discuss incorporating a new company and associated tax affairs.
And I launched that little business idea. I spent the afternoon setting it all up, it will mostly be automated, there are a few things for me to do; we’ll see how it works. The first phase is a few weeks of dummy run, to test likelihood of success before I put any money into it.
I’m conscious that, as with any big project, particularly one on which you’re working alone without other people to keep you honest, it’s easy for these other ideas and subplots to become sources of procrastination and resistance. I want to be careful not to fall into that trap, so nothing else today, apart from jumping back into the edit and powering on.
